Teaching Partners
Dan is available to teach and perform with several different partners from around the world.
He's taught with all of the following partners and can also teach by himself (or with a local teacher if required).
Jessica Lennartsson
Jessica lives in Stockholm, Sweden and has been passionate about dancing for many years. She started to dance the 'Swedish Bugg' in 1990 and moved on with Doublebugg and Boogie Woogie. She then became interested in Lindy Hop and in recent years she has also fell in love with Balboa too.
She is an experienced competitor who first become a member of the Swedish national Boogie Woogie team in 1999. Amongst her achievements she was two times World Champion and Swedish Champion in Boogie Woogie (2002-2003).
Jessica has been teaching as well as competing for several years and she is well known for her fast feet. She has performed at many events and has also appeared on a couple of Swedish TV shows.
She is teaching with Dan in Paris 01/06, Reading 04/06, Amsterdam 05/06, Herrang 07/06, Stockholm 11/06, Reading 01/07, Lyon 02/07, Oslo 02/07, Hamburg 03/07, San Diego 04/07, Reading 04/07, Gloucester 05/07, Cheltenham 07/07.
Sylvia Sykes
An internationally recognized authority on several different forms of swing dance, Sylvia Sykes has lectured and taught dance workshops all over the world since 1985. She has competed in numerous dance competitions, appeared on television, been featured with orchestras such as Glenn Miller, Artie Shaw, and Count Basie, as well as being voted into the California Swing Dance Hall of Fame.
Sylvia studied Balboa with Maxie Dorf and spent years learning from the greatest Southern California Balboa dancers. She was also privileged to study Lindy Hop with Dean Collins, and was a member of his last dance troupe. Together with her original partner Jonathan Bixby, Sylvia was a six-time U.S. Open Finalist and the undefeated Southern California Balboa Champion.
She is teaching with Dan in Reading 09/06, London 10/06, Montpellier 01/07.
Jenn Harry
Coming from New York City, Jenn's passion for dance began with her first lesson at the age of 5. This passion has survived and continues to grow, following her to Switzerland where she now lives.
Jenn trained intensely in classical dance for 15 years and is a veteran winner of numerous competitions and awards. She has also won a few scholarships in her young career. In 1998 Jenn discovered lindy hop and has not looked back. Since then she has attended numerous classes, camps and workshops both in Europe and the USA and has been personally taught by some of the best lindy hop instructors in the world.
In 2000 she moved to Switzerland and began to build a swing scene in Luzern by offering classes and dance events. Jenn has also established a swing scene in Freiburg im Breisgau where she attended university. She continues to teach at national and international workshops in Switzerland and Germany.
She is teaching with Dan in Rennes 03/06, Toulouse 04/06.
Vivien Davidhazy
Based in London, Vivien is a member of Angela Andrews' performance group the 'Cotton Clubbers'. She is amongst the most inspirational followers on the London swing scene and also helps organise the annnual London Lindy Exchange.
She is teaching with Dan in Gothenburg 03/06, Leicester 10/06, Vienna 10/06, Eilat 03/07, Nottingham 04/07, Ljubljana 04/07.
