| Change of class format from May 2011 (updated: 29/04/11) |
| We will be changing the class format as of May 2011. Due to problems with availability of the second hall for the first hour, we have decided to drop the Lindy Hop class. There will therefore only be one class at 7.30pm and this will be the Balboa Beginners class, which will now take place in the upstairs hall each week. This will be followed by two classes at 8.30pm: Balboa Fundamentals (downstairs) and Balboa Intermediates (upstairs). Please see the class level descriptions for more details. |
| We have also decided to shorten the classes to be 50 minutes rather than 1 hour to ensure that we are able to finish on time and start the social dancing promptly at 9.30pm. The new class times are as follows: |
7.30 - 8.20pm:
Balboa Beginners (upstairs)
8.30 - 9.20pm:
Balboa Fundamentals (downstairs)
Balboa Intermediates (upstairs)
9.30 - 11pm:
Social dancing (upstairs) |
| Note that the social dance is still aimed at dancers of all styles of swing dance, not just Balboa, and we will continue to play a wide variety of swing music styles and tempos. |
