That Swing Thing | | From Friday 11th July to Saturday 12th July 2003 | | Last year's summer highlight That Swing Thing! is back by popular demand. To mark the pinnacle of our 10th anniversary celebrations, gDA will again transform The Borough Hall into a 1930's Harlem-style dance hall animated by acrobatic Lindy Hop, the irresistible rhythms of American Tap and the infectious sounds of the nine piece Jazz Repertoire Band. Artistic Director Temujin Gill will be joined by Sunanda Biswas, Greenwich Youth Dance Company, professional dancers and an adult community group to transport you into an authentic 1930s setting. Join us for cocktails, a sizzling evening of dance for the whole family and help us celebrate in style! There will be a chance for everyone to join in: we are running a warm-up workshop on Saturday 12 July at 3.30pm, so you can learn all the moves and try them out that evening.
