Lindy & Balboa Night Christmas Party | | Friday 18th December 2009 | Tonight is our Christmas party with live music from Hot Club Deluxe. There'll be mulled wine, Sloe Gin and lots of festive nibbles. So dress up, get into the spirit, and see out the year in style.
HOT CLUB DELUXE have played for us a few times this year and have gone down a storm. They play in the style of 'Hot Club de France' with two guitars, double bass, and violin. Hot Club de France featured the legendary Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli creating a unique style of Jazz sometimes referred to as 'Gypsy Jazz' or Gypsy Swing'.
The line up of Hot Club Deluxe includes some truly brilliant musicians making them the best band of this style that I've ever heard.
