Lindy & Balboa Night | | Friday 15th June 2007 | IMPORTANT NOTE: Change of Venue this week!!!
Our regular venue St Michael's Hall is unavailable this week. We'll instead be at the Pier House on the riverbank at Chiswick. The Pier House at Chiswick Pier has a lovely hall with splendid views of the Thames downstream towards Hammersmith and Old Chiswick. The entrance faces onto the riverside piazza (next door to Pissarro's one of Chiswick's better know restaurants). The Hall is on the ground floor and has French doors opening onto an apron next to the towpath.
For those coming by car, it's easy to find being just off Hogarth Roundabout on the A4 and there's easy parking on Pumping Station Rd.
For those on public transport you can still go to Turnham Green tube station. Whilst you could walk from there its far quicker and easier to catch an E3 bus from right outside the station. It's about 12 stops south to where the bus terminates at Edensor Road (New Chiswick Pool). From there you walk down Corney Reach Way to arrive at Chiswick Pier.
Other possible routes are by mainline rail from Waterloo to Chiswick station where you can again catch the same E3 bus. Alternatively the 190 bus from Hammersmith to Richmond passes the west end of Edensor Road on the A316 (Burlington Lane).
