Herrang (Week 2) | | From Saturday 8th July to Friday 14th July 2006 | | Herräng Dance Camp (HDC), originally started back in 1982, has been for many years the leading and most comprehensive African-American swing dance camp in the world. It was initiatially started by some members of the Stockholm based Swedish Swing Society and was for many years a small and national event gathering around 100 students per year. Things started to change however in the early 90s when the camp suddenly began to attract more and more foreign visitors and the amount of students rapidly increased. At around this period of time the event also stabilized dance-wise into three main priorities: Lindy Hop, Boogie Woogie and Tap.
