1) BAL REVIVAL AND CORONAVIRUS
Our Tuesday evening Balboa classes are still running, but we are keeping a close eye on the coronavirus situation. If the situation worsens, we may need to cancel our classes at short notice. Please keep an eye on our calendar, news page or Facebook page for updates, or feel free to contact us directly.
In the meantime, please follow official advice to protect yourself and others. In particular:
- Wash your hands before and after class and frequently throughout the evening, for at least 20 seconds.
- Hand sanitiser can help if you can't use soap and water.
- Avoid touching your face.
- Cough into a tissue or flexed elbow.
- Avoid attending if you have cough, fever or respiratory symptoms, have travelled to an affected area, or have been in contact with someone who could have the virus.
A weekend of workshops in the beautiful Austrian capital city of Vienna with a choice of tracks in Balboa, Laminu and Slow Balboa. Full details to be announced, but this event always manages to offer something special, from "fun" tracks which break away from the typical workshop format, to all-morning dance brunches, and incredible big bands flown in from all over the world. To top it all, the workshops are taught in possibly the best dance venue we've ever seen - a brand new, custom built dance complex with cafe and bar.
A fun and friendly weekend of Lindy Hop in Brighton. There are workshops at three levels, which are held in award-winning dance studios, with free parking nearby. The evening social dances are right in the city centre, where you can soak up the vibrant city vibe and dance to live bands from Brighton's thriving jazz scene.
The Titchfield Lindy Weekender. Three days of social dancing and workshops with top international teachers, all based around a great social venue in the lovely village of Titchfield. Core tracks in Lindy Hop are complemented by a wide selection of optional classes to chose from, including specific themed classes and taster classes in different dance styles.
The annual Brighton Balboa Festival. A fun, friendly (and slightly crazy!) weekend of Balboa right in the heart of Brighton, where you can soak up the street culture and vibe of this unique city. There are workshops at three levels, with social dancing to live bands from Brighton's thriving jazz scene, and a chilled out Sunday morning breakfast dance on the pier. The main venue is just 10 minutes from the coach and train stations.
